About The School
The SEAMS School, hosted by Institut Teknologi Sumatera (Itera) in collaboration with Universitas Sanata Dharma (USD) Yogyakarta, offers a series of courses focused on stochastic processess and its applications. The course “Basics of Probability and Stochastic Processes,” taught by experienced instructors, covers fundamental concepts including probability spaces, random variables, distributions, expectation, and random processes. It is designed for undergraduate and master’s students from various disciplines to build a strong foundation in stochastic processes. Additionally, the “Stochastic Processes in Biology and Finance” course introduces practical applications of stochastic processes in scientific and financial fields, tailored to accommodate participants with diverse backgrounds. The school aims to equip students with essential skills for research and foster collaboration, contributing to the advancement of mathematical education and research at Institut Teknologi Sumatera and throughout Indonesia.
